Happy, Healthy, Healed: BTS With Asia Noel

“I allowed people to sleep on my worth because I forgot my damn self. Now I’m truly free. Free from judgment, free from doubt. Because I made it happen in real life.” -Asia Noel

Why didn’t y’all tell me to follow Asia before? I love it there!” Those were my exact words after stumbling across a hilarious reel of Asia dancing to a very interesting song by a musician on TikTok. Humor and beauty drew me in, but her story is why I became an avid follower.

Asia Noel is very transparent with her social media followers about her journey to whole health — mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Throughout this journey, she gained a greater depth of self-love, built the body of her dreams, and manifested an ideal romantic relationship. The key? Healing from within first.

The 20-something-year-old beauty embodies the Mostly Sugar mission. Pretty, but never afraid to show the grit from her Southside of Richmond, VA roots. It was important for us to show that through the imagery captured for our brand. Excitement was an understatement when Asia agreed to be a part of the modeling cast. During production, we had a chance to get to know Asia a little more with a short Q&A.

Mostly Sugar: What do you do for a living?

Asia: Finance pays my bills, but inspiring healing is my passion.

Mostly Sugar: What do you love most about yourself right now?

Asia: I am currently living in a new identity that I rebuilt with healing, discipline, and self-love. Getting to know her more has been amazing.

Mostly Sugar: When do you feel the strongest?

Asia: When I recognize self-sabotaging behavior and begin to empower myself to change the narrative; usually this means accomplishing a new goal by changing my mindset.

Mostly Sugar: When do you feel the most vulnerable?

Asia: When I hold myself accountable. This is when I take time out to write the things I want to change or my triggers and dive deeper into healing the source so that it no longer entices a negative or sudden response.

Mostly Sugar: Has anyone ever made false assumptions about you? If so, what were they and how did that make you feel?

Asia: Yes. I receive the common, "I thought you were stuck up before I met you" statement after many realize how kind and down-to-earth I am. I do not take offense, as I am glad to be given a chance to prove differently. However, I will always promote healing so that others can decide to evaluate what triggered something in them to make such a prejudgment without ever meeting me? What triggers you to assume the worst of a person before applying a positive assumption? I just hope they ask themselves this.

Mostly Sugar: You have 24 hours to spend $100,000, what are you buying?

Asia: I am booking future trips for me and my closest loved ones (friends and fam) all year, all expenses paid. My n—s deserve [some] rest and relaxation.

Mostly Sugar: Choose one quote you have to stand on and treat as your life’s mantra.

Asia: "The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion" -Albert Camus

Mostly Sugar: Based on what you know about Mostly Sugar’s mission, could you describe it OR how it makes you feel using adjectives or one sentence?

Asia: Mostly Sugar strives to spit in Imposter Syndrome's face to help womxn know that they can build their own table in any lane; you don't have to wait for a seat assignment.
