News Reporter Internship
Mostly Sugar Media is seeking a talented and motivated News Reporter Intern to join our team for the Fall 2023 Semester. This unpaid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of journalism within a dynamic media company. As a News Reporter Intern, you will work closely with our experienced editorial team and contribute to creating engaging and impactful content. This internship is eligible for college credit.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research and interviews to gather information for news articles, features, and blog posts.
Write compelling, well-researched, and error-free content that aligns with Mostly Sugar's editorial style and target audience.
Assist in generating creative story ideas and angles that resonate with multifaceted women.
Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and pitch content ideas for various media platforms.
Stay up to date on current events, social trends, and issues relevant to the target audience.
Assist in fact-checking, proofreading, and editing content to ensure accuracy and quality.
Work closely with the editorial team to meet deadlines and contribute to editorial planning.
Contribute to social media content and engagement strategies, ensuring consistency across platforms.
Collaborate with photographers, designers, and other team members to enhance the visual appeal of content.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong research and interviewing skills.
Passion for storytelling and the ability to create engaging narratives.
Knowledge of journalistic principles, ethics, and best practices.
Familiarity with digital media platforms and social media trends.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Positive attitude, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow in the field of journalism.
