Radiating vibrancy and timeless elegance, FLOURISH by Liznel ignited the runway with an explosion of color and charisma. From bold patterns to sleek silhouettes, each piece in the collection is captivating with electrifying hues and daring designs, promising to inject excitement into the Richmond, VA, fashion scene.

Some of Richmond Fashion Week’s (RVAFW) biggest names gave us their thoughts about the show.

Yelena Scheidler, Celebrity Makeup Artist (@makeupbyyelena)

Ryan Azia, Artist, Designer and Fashion Enthusiast (@ryanazia)

Stephen Adkins, Public Figure and Fashion Entrepreneur (@adkins.stephen

What was your favorite part of the Liznel show?

Scheidler: “My favorite part about the show was seeing all these beautiful colors come together. It was SO bright, it was so happy. The models just all looked very happy, and the way that they showed off the clothes, I think it was very on brand.”

Azia: “All of them represented Chanel really well. I liked the ones where they had a lot of sequins and sparkles. I felt like she’s coming into her own and she’s shining, I felt that through her pieces.”

Adkins: “I actually loved the piece with the reversible sequins. It was just amazing to see that. I haven’t seen something like that from Chanel before, so seeing that was very inspirational. I’m going to do a jacket like that.”

On the Show's Atmosphere

How would you describe the overall vibe of the fashion show?

Azia: “The vibe was good. It’s very earthy. I noticed that the crowd was wearing a lot of earth tones, and her show is called Flourish. So, it's almost as if the earth tones were nourishing her artwork and making it flourish.”

Adkins: “Very eclectic and colorful. I love the vibe of expression in color and fabric. It just was a wonderful show tonight.”

Emerging Trends and Standout Pieces

Did you notice any emerging styles on the runway?

Scheidler: “One of the outfits that the model Gabriella was wearing, I love the texture with the black and the silver and the white… something about that outfit just really stood out to me. I’m just a big fan of sparkles. I loved to see all the sparkles on the runway and I really hope that becomes a thing again.”

Azia: “I don’t see Chanel being a trend follower. This body of work was definitely her foundation. Not only is this a foundation, but its timeless. I can see older women wearing it, younger women wearing it and they’ll be wearing it today and into the future.”

Adkins: “Actually, I did. I love the trend of mixing… I noticed that there was two outfits where they would put the top with one skirt and then the skirt with one top so it was nice to see that you could get probably six or seven outfits really from about three or four pieces. I’m the same way, I want to find something that I can mix and match. I love that.”

Were there any particular pieces of looks that you found especially memorable?

Scheidler: “I did love the green outfits. We had the jacket, the dress with the feathers, to me that’s just my style as well. It’s very classy but its like ‘WOW.’ I love the bright color with something that’s also classic.”

Azia: “The greens… maybe my eyes were attracted to the green outfits the most. She did have a dash of black… and she had one that was almost like a camouflage pattern which she was experimenting her style. But, the greens, the tone and the shade of the greens she used was amazing.”

Adkins: “The actual finale which was the longer pink sequins robe with the black ensemble. That was a show stopper.”

WORDS FROM THE CEO

Erica Shambley @mostly.erica

What was your favorite part of the Liznel show?

Shambley: “My favorite part was literally every piece that came down the runway. I could envision myself wearing it. It truly was created for a woman like me. I am a professional, a career woman. I'm also creative; I like to spice things up and have fun. Literally, the pieces I could see myself wearing to the office, going right into a business meeting, then going to happy hour, and I’m still still cute.”

How would you describe the overall vibe of the fashion show?

Shambley: “It was fun. The music had a vibe, and the people had a vibe. Everything was amazing. It was a good time. I loved everything about it. I'm excited to see what’s to come from Chanel.”

Did you notice any emerging styles on the runway?

Shambley: “I noticed the pops of color for the season; I love that. Color blocking is in season again, and I love seeing her incorporate that on the runway. I love how she mixed patterns with sequins. It was textures going on, visionary patterns, that was very creative.”
