Content & Editorial Internship

Mostly Sugar Media is looking for a creative, culture-forward college student who knows how to tell a story—whether through words, visuals, or social-first content. You’ll pitch and create original content that reflects real experiences, challenges norms, and sparks conversation. Think smart takes, bold opinions, style breakdowns, beauty obsessions, and culture commentary—all through an unapologetic lens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned pieces of original content (articles, opinion posts, listicles, short-form visuals, etc.)

  • Support team with weekly editorial calendar and brainstorm sessions

  • Assist with formatting, uploading, and light SEO for digital posts

  • Conduct research, pull inspo, or assist with interviews

  • Stay on top of culture, beauty, and style trends, and conversations that matter to our audience

  • Administrative Tasks: Fact-check stories, and maintain organized archives.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Strong writing or content creation skills

  • Comfortable with storytelling in digital formats (blogs, IG carousels, Reels/TikToks, etc.)

  • Interest in fashion, beauty, identity, and culture from a bold, relatable perspective

  • Familiar with AP style or able to adapt to our voice and tone

  • Must be a current college student or recent graduate (preferably rising juniors, seniors, or recent grads)

  • Majoring or interested in communications, journalism, media studies, marketing, public relations, English, digital media, fashion, or a related field

  • Course or project experience in content creation, social media strategy, writing, or event planning is a plus
