Events & Experiential Marketing Internship
Mostly Sugar Media internships are designed as educational, portfolio-building experiential opportunities intended to provide meaningful exposure to the day-to-day operations of a modern media company.
Location: Hybrid/In-Person Preferred (Richmond, VA)
Internship Term Options:
Summer 2026 Cohort — Begins June 1, 2026
Fall 2026 Cohort — Begins August 24, 2026
Commitment: Minimum of 10 flexible hours per week with event-based flexibility
Compensation: Unpaid Experiential Internship / College Credit Eligible if Applicable
Mostly Sugar Media is seeking energetic, organized, and creative interns to join our Events & Experiential Marketing Internship track as part of the Summer and Fall 2026 Internship Program.
This internship is ideal for students or emerging professionals interested in event planning, experiential marketing, hospitality coordination, guest engagement, and behind-the-scenes logistics within the lifestyle media and cultural events space.
Interns will gain direct exposure to the planning, coordination, and execution of networking mixers, branded activations, public-facing events, media experiences, and community-centered cultural programming.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with event planning timelines, logistics tracking, and vendor coordination support
Help with event setup, décor placement, registration, guest check-in, and day-of execution tasks
Support sponsor/vendor communication and materials preparation
Assist in organizing experiential activations, photo moments, and branded guest experiences
Help gather event content, attendee testimonials, and behind-the-scenes footage during activations
Assist with post-event breakdown, inventory, and recap support
Contribute creative ideas for audience engagement and guest experience enhancement

Interest in event planning, experiential marketing, hospitality, or media production
Highly organized and dependable
